What it means to be a singer...

The Singing Manifesto

Being a singer means...

  • Being mindful of my body and my vocal needs, as well as the health of others in my singing group and community.
  • Being respectful toward my peers and fellow singers and celebrating everyone's accomplishments and hard work.
  • Being a team player, making music with others, and thriving in my community of musicians.
  • Dedicating time to improving my craft, developing technique, and learning skill sets that are needed for my goals.
  • Singing for the joy of music, lyrics, sounds, and friendships.
